Looking for some comfort - Original Pop/Rock - Video

This is a song done a few months back. Still haven't done a song with my copy of Sonar X1 Producer. I'm slow and have to do other things first. Any comments are welcome concerning the song and video. Thanks.

Fantastic!!!  Great job on the video.  I like the lost in space clip.  Hilarious - very entertaining.  One thing I noticed - the synth "stabs" at around 2:00 were a little loud or too up front.  Maybe some compression would help that.  There is a lot going on with the song.  How did you do the video?  Sony Vegas?

guitartrek. Thanks a lot. Glad you liked it. I always loved Dr Smith from Lost in Space.

I did this video with Sony Vegas Movie Studio but have since upgraded to Vegas Pro because the 32 bit version would not render more than 2 gig files.

Will look at the synth stabs you mentioned. The song is somewhat busy.

(I'm still smiling BTW ) I have to echo what Geno says above, this is just excellent.

Top-notch performance, and the mix sounds great on my system.

Absolutely knocked me out, Charles.  Vaguely reminiscent of a Talking Heads kinda' thing.  Great lyric, lots of wit there, ultra cool track, well sung and the video was to die for.  Always pressed for time, I'll make point of getting back for seconds on this... it was THAT good.

shawn, I'm glad you found comfort in the song. That's an old saying and I actually think it's not true. Or it's been my experience.

Ha!  A fun video and a well put together tune. I like how you got others involved – it’s good to see your friends having fun with your material as well. It’s humorous and with enough wry to offset the goofy. Favorite section is the woman singing your little middle section – it added a story feel as opposed to a chorus/bridge feel. Great job.

    Hey, Charlie,

How are you, buddy? Doing great, I hope!

Wow, spectacular job on both the great song and mix, and also the really entertaining, fun video!  Man, you've just gotta love the nostalgic "Lost in Space" clips mingled in with your nice video effect work.

Great job on this very cool project!

loved this and that synth riff is a real hook, really had me by the end. But mostly the video is very entertaining and well thought out.

I need to upgrade from windows live movie maker to something like sony vegas, I presume creating a separate backdrop like in many of those scenes can be done in sony vegas?

Vicente, thanks alot for watching and your comments.

Hey, Bob. Thanks a lot. Glad you liked it. Used to really like Lost in Space and Dr Smith.

Cian, thanks. Glad you liked it. Very easy to use Chroma Key in Sony Vegas. I painted a couple of 4' x 8' pieces of plywood green and record in front of that when I want a background for my videos. Get the best lighting that you can as well.
