Looking to buy ReFx Nexus, but I need some advice first.

I'll admit it - I am a gearjunkie! I tought that after I get all the Spectrasonics instruments I would be content. But no!
As a final topping, I want Nexus. I've craved for it a couple of years, and now it's version 2! Oh my good, I just HAVE to have it!

This is my mind right now!
Does anyone have any objections? Or good things to say about it.

Just for the record - I know it is a ROMpler with limited tweaking abilities. But hey - I've got Omnisphere to play with.
I just love the sound of Nexus :)

Shoot!

I don't own it, but it's been mentioned at KVR a lot. I'd check over there first before purchasing as there seems to be a bit of a story on it and support, as I recall.

Update: I bought it and YES, it was absolutely worth it! And now it has gone 64 bit too. The sound and expansions is awesome, and there are quite a few tweaks you can do there. Just if anyone is wondering about taking the plunge :)

I told my fiance' that Nexus 2 was going to be my Christmas gift from her. I also have all the Spectrasonics stuff. Glad to hear you like it.

Did you get any expansion packs? I checked out some of them and they were not that exciting but there are a couple I thought were really interesting.

If you have any questions, just ask me. I got all expansions, except the two latest ones. Make sure to download the dark skin bundle, it is really nice on the eyes.

I've got Nexus as well, and I LOVE the sound.  Also, it's just sooo easy to use (especially the trance gate).   Yes sometimes you want to really dig down into sounds, and so you might prefer something like Alchemy, or Z3ta.   But if you want a huge library of sounds that sound SO good that they inspire creativity, then Nexus is often the right place.
