Loop Constructor "Now" cursor incorrect if pitch is shifted and other random behavior

Here's the recipe:

1) Select an audio track and open it in the Loop Constructor (Views>Loop Construction)
2) Turn Threshold to 0
3) Drop the pitch in the loop constructor to -12, which is half-speed.
4) Start play in the Loop Constructor.

Note that the position of the Now cursor on the waveform does not coincide with what you are hearing.
I fact, it is exactly half behind of where the cursor is, which makes sense. In a wrong sort of way.
The LC's timeline is in samples and coincides with the main tracks display (select Samples ruler to compare).

There are also further disconnects between the two views:
It is not possible to set the Now cursor by clicking in the LC ruler.
If you click in the LC on the waveform, it starts to play - but restarting from the beginning every time.

If, whilst playing, you click the ruler in the main tracks view to reposition the Now cursor, all sorts of random effects happen:
The audio may jump to another position but the Now cursor in the LC simply continues moving steadily where it is.
Clicking near the beginning may stop play altogether. If so, the cursor in the LC disappears, but the Play button is still blue, indicating it should still be playing.

If you alternately click in the LC waveform and then in the main track timeline ruler, totally random behavior can be observed. I cannot even remember what all happened.

Only if you rewind (W) and then start playing with the Play button in the main transport do both Now cursors move reliably together (set Samples ruler and compare) but as stated, the position is twice ahead of what you are hearing.

I have reposted this in Problem Reports.
If others can reproduce it, I shall enter a bug report.

I already entered a bug report on this. Currently, the only way to have the cursor track properly is to zoom out far enough that the entire waveform is contained within the window. However, it doesn't affect the sound or cause problems with the functions themselves.
