No, I haven't. It seems to happens randomly.
I have not noticed what triggers it.
But I will try to notice if it could be after 'Zooming in/out on the TRV' like mentioned above.

Move with the mouse over the time ruler until you see the little magnifying glass and than right-click, this should bring it back.

    Best,

Strange... sorry to hear it doesn't work for you.

I'm actually going through this exact scenario as I'm writing this:

I'm zooming in, left-click-drag the mouse downwards in the time ruler while the track is running.
At one point the vertical time line goes past the right edge of the window.
Now I right-click in the time ruler and the time line comes back from the left edge.

When I first recognized this behavior I thought it was a some kind of bug, until I learned it's actually a feature. You'll get the same sort of thing in the PRV when editing while the track is running.

Sorry I can't be of any more help at this point.

    regards
    Daniel

well, i must have set something permanent, because now when i open any project, in x1 or x2, the time cursor goes beyond the right edge and the tracks don't keep up with time.  they sit static.  not sure what i could have done.

I've seen this a number of times, too.   Not sure what steps/scenarios are causing it.  It only seems to happen when I'm not paying attention...

Has anyone submitted a problem report to Cakewalk? I would have but I don't know the exact steps it takes to replicate the bug. It usually happens to me if I double click on a MIDI clip opening the PRV, then if I drag the window as high as it can go (so the PRV window completely covers the track view), edit some, then return to track view--it usually disappears after that. I found that if I fool Sonar X2 and only drag the PRV window up about 3/4 so I can still see the now time marker and timeline it does not disappear. So for now I'm sticking to that!
