Lost Media Files in Sonar Studio X3 reinstall

I needed to reinstall the upgraded version of Sonar X3. Upon opening a project I noticed the Media folder is missing all the wav samples I had there previously. I uninstalled my prior Sonar Studio X2 before reinstalling Studio X3. X3 is the only program on my computer now. My question is, could these wav Media files that were once there when I had X2 installed a part of that version and not on the upgraded X3? If so, how can I extract these media wav files from the X2 without having to do a complete reinstall of X2? I have the disc version of X2 if that is needed.
