Lost my track meters...

Got to say, I'm just a hacker when it comes to using MC, but I've been able to figure it out enough to do what I need to. However, I believe I changed my "view" or toggled something off. I import individual instrument tracks, ie guitar, bass, vocal, drums, and adjust each level so that they are not peaking. problem is I must have changed what is shown. What I had before was a level meter on the left hand side. When I selected an individual track, I could adjust the level with the slide control on the level meter, for that specific track. That level meter no longer appears. Convinced this is user error, but I can't find a setting to show this level meter. Appreciate the help. Thanks

I'm not on the DAW machine right now. So look up "Meters" in help (F1) and search hide/unhide meters.

I recall seeing that. It's a simple matter to toggle it on and off IIRC.

I've been using MC4 almost 4 years and I have to hit the F1 every now and then to look up how to do something like that as well.

I believe that is called the Track Inspector.
There is a button toolbar at the top to turn it on or off. Looks like a vertical meter.

Turns out I had to hit "i". Apparently that toggles the meters on and off. Not "Ctrl I" or "Shift I", just "i". Could have happen while labeling a track, ie "Guitar" without actually having selected the text box, pencil could have fallen on keyboard, or the cat walked on the keyboard. Found it in the manual, but never found a menu option for it, nor does the manual reference how to toggle the meters in the GUI, just a mention of pressing "i".

One day, when you're bored.... just go through the keyboard hitting each key to see what it does. Quite a few have useful functions.
