Hi,
Nope. I see it listed at Amazon, though! But for my tastes too many small cuts, but I would like to hear it. AND, I'm not even sure I have heard that and will check it out tonight. I might have and had it on a Space Pirate Radio tape/show somewhere, but even the name is not familiar, but there were a lot of French players that went by wayside ... in the 70's. I picked up most of the Germans, but the French were way out there ... I'm still trying to get "Baffo Banfi" (keyboard player from Il Biglieto de Something or Other) ... after 25 years! I was also looking for an American band called PERU, and still have not found anything or a place to get the CD's. This guy, according to the information was from Quebec, Canada.
My scratching and clawing has had an interesting effect ... Roger Waters, finally approved the release of "Raving and Drooling" and "Gotta be Crazy", but he made sure and buried it in the wrong album so you would not compare the differences. AND, it was in the wrong album, because that stuff was being played in the DSOTM concerts, not the WYWH concerts, which had DSOTM being done again in the show. I'm getting kinda tired of Roger's stand-offish-ness (and smell!) and his thinking that he has to get the last word in and prove his point as right. politically, artistically, and fecal'istically!
The other one, was Roger Ruskin Spear's albums had not been on CD and finally showed up out of the blue. Been trying to get "Unusual" for 20 some years ... and all I could find was LP/LP/LP/LP and I gave up. Amonth ago, all of a sudden the CD was listed and I finally got it ... it has Pete T all over it, and a tremendous send up of Pinball Wizard and the Who. He was one of the original "Bonzo Dog'rs".
There are a few things I'm still trying to get ... just because I want it, but things like "It's a Beautiful Day" very first album is still stuck in fights and crap. Quicksilver also has a couple of those in many fights. Richard and Linda Thompson are still fighting Joe Boyd, and getting a copy of "Live More or Less" is not gonna happen, with unbelievable live versions of "Calvary Cross" and "Night Comes In".
There are a couple of other things here and there ... Lothar Meid (Amon Duul 2 bass) had a solo album with a band he called "18 Karat Gold" and the album was called "All Bums" ... and it had some great stuff, but it was all fun songs and nice music. "If My Guru Would Know" is hilarious and has Renate doing it. Likewise, Chris Karrer did a solo album with Mani Neumeier, that had on the original a "mask" that was distributed by "EUROCK" (here in Portland, btw) and I have never found it or been able to know what the name of that album was.
The only other things that should be released that no one has ever heard is the Beatles Christmas Shows (7 of them) which are very funny, but not really a "star turn" on the stage for the worshipping business!
All in all, I have pretty much given up on finding things, and if they show up, they show up. King Crimson is doing the same thing as the Zappa family ... not releasing their best stuff, and not having the incredible rave up of 21st Century total idiot on the CD, is sad, but Fripp is Fripp and he is still punishing the record company even though he now controls it all ... except the distribution itself ... which, unfortunately is where the million dollars always is! The CD sale would be tripled with more stuff that was quite indicative of the incredible show they did ... I can only hope to find a bootleg somewhere!
Sadistic Mika Band when it broke up, had about 6 or 7 solo albums and they were all great ... and eventually they became "The Sadistics" and they were also great on stage. The "LIVE" album in London is magnificent ... but you can't get it. And getting some of the Japanese stuff is crazy ... the same for Yellow Magic Orchestra, whose fun albums that included comedy bits ... are not available on CD, either ... and yeah ... some of them are a bit short on the taste side ... but funny!
The Zappa Family Trust is a mess, and has no leadership and Gail and friends, are STILL, rock and roll friends and mates, and they have no idea what the music is all about. And she's fighting time here, on top of it, and I'm not sure that finding 5 FZ pieces 100 years later, will be as important as it was finding 7 more works by Mozart ... they can not handle the volume of material and the instrumentals and how to serve them without the rock guitar hero! Serves them right, that Frank did that, just like he would when fans were forcing him to play his guitar ... sit it down and conduct his group instead!
