Lots of VSTs saying "Not installed properly on your system"... since last upgrade
Hi I am using X1 Producer whatever the latest version is and running 64 bits. I am getting frequent "The following plugin is not properly installed on your system..." or "plugin not found".... I can uninstall and reinstall and still get the same message. All of the offending plugs are 32 bits, but not all 32 bit plugs are creating problems and none were prior to last upgrade in X1. Anyone else having similar problem? Is this a 32 vs 64 issue? A bit bridge or j bridge issue? Thanks
Some people call me Maurice SPLAT Pro lifetime, ADK 6 core 3.6Ghz with 32 GB RAM, SSD 1TB system drive, 3 3TB regular drives for samples, recordings and misc. Behringer X Touch, UAD Apollo Quad. 2 UAD2 Quads PCI (i think - inside the box whatever that is), Console 1. More guitars (40??) and synths (hard and soft) than talent. Zendrum!!!

Is there a way to force J Bridge or Bit Bridge to go back and rescan everything? I have run the Sonar scan on the plugs once I reinstalled them. Thanks again

Could it be the x86 vstplugins folder is not added in X1 ? Im in the process of re-installing my system, and I have a note that says I will have to manually add this folder to the vst scan (in my case, it's beatscape). folder = program files\(x86)\cakewalk\vstplugins

Not sure if this will help......I also have a 64 bit win7 system X-1 is installed on. My plug-in scanner needed to be directed to several folders in order to find all of my plug-ins. The plug scanner only seems to look where you tell it to look and I had mine set up to look in some of the wrong places. At least in my case, I had to search my C drive and even my D drive because some of them were located on my old OS. I believe that my 32 bit Plug in folder was named X86. Not sure if this helped. Hope it did.

No I had it looking in the proper directories. Stuff that was working is not. I downloaded the latest J bridge, moved all my 32 bit plus in to a separate directory and had J bridge go through and do whatever it does. Will try tonight wiht the new j-bridge stuff.

Maurice, I tried JBridge and my experience is that Bit Bridge works better on almost every plug I own. In fact...things that were problematic under Bit Bridge were WORSE under JBridge...just my experience. Hope you get your probs worked out, ol pal.

Could these be 32bit DX plug ins?? If so they will not work via bitbridge or Jbridge in 64 bit. I did read of a wrapper that could help but i can't remember what it was called. Also you could go back to the install disks and see if there is a VST version.
