Low Latency Laptop

Low Latency Laptop

Looking for a good laptop for a mobile recording studio. It needs to have the following:

1. Ability to interface to soundcard using fire wire using either of the 2 options: A) "Texas Insruments Ieee1394 port or B) Intel Expresscard Bus

2. Ability to achieve consistent Low latency level say 200ms or less with spikes not in the red or above 800ms

3. Ability to access SpeedStep, HPET, C1E, & Power Control settings and the like within the bios for controlling the latency.

Please respond with your laptop model if it has either or any of the features of items 1 & 3. Please also respond with your latency levels if you have run them. It would be nice if you could post an image of the reading.

Thanks

ps. adk scott, I know you are all over this and I alread know what you have to say so respectfully please restrain yourself.

If you're talking new... good luck
Off the shelf units typically "lock out" (don't expose) many BIOS parameters like HPET.
The BIOS is 'dummed down' to avoid tech-support issues
Laptops aren't designed with highest performance low-latency audio performance as a priority.  We're a small niche' market.
Extended batter life is much more important to the average (general purpose) user than ultra low/consistent DPC latency.
