The off key music and the name Luzetta makes me think of something sinister going on in Goth land.  Nice one.

I like this, especially the vocal harmony.  Small nit-Seems you're a bit out of tune on some of your instruments.

I liked the vibe, and your vocals are killer. I'm a fan of your songwriting.

I really didn't vibe with those crushed guitars. Tuning and timing issues don't get lifted up by 4 tons of compression! But if that's what your artistry is telling you, who am I to disagree.  ?

Mix-wise, maybe get the bass and all the guitars high pass filtered? What's going on with them below 50hz? You might try cleaning that stuff out, if you haven't already. Maybe 80hz is more like it.

You might also drop the mellotron-pad thing by just a bit.

After listening closely, it might be just the bass guitar that is pulling this into the ditch. What do you think?

Still, dude, you are a great songwriter and singer IMHO and I'm still buying this album.

I don't know about this one. I thought the guitars and bass were kind of neat myself. I'm not sure I like them together with the vocals though. I'm just not sure they mesh. It's thought provoking. I like the lyrics.

Hi Doug. Love the album title by the way.
The song is very Lou Reed/Velvet Underground which can't be a bad thing.
I get the loose style but there are times that the timing becomes a bit too loose. The drums are a bit far back in the mix for me.

Johnbee58 - Thanks for listening and for your comments.  I'll give it another listen for the tuning - it might be the chime sample that's a bit out of tune.
emeraldsoul - I'm glad you liked it and I appreciate your comments.  I'll do another mix based on your suggestions - maybe the low end of the bass is a bit too prominent in the mix. Also, thanks for the compliments - I enjoy songwriting.
Wayfarer - Thanks for your comments and for giving it a listen.
daryl1968 - Thanks for giving my song a listen.  I've never been happy with the drums on this one - they do lag a bit, but I figured it worked good enough for a demo.  Most of the drum tracks on the new album I'm happy with.
