Lyric Track Jumbled

Hi all, I have a project that I want to add a measure of silence in the middle. When I select all tracks>split>then drag them over one measure, the melody track with lyrics gets all jumbled up. Words are added and duplicated even before the split. A few years ago I figured out how to prevent this but I can't remember how I did it. Anyone have any suggestions?

thanks

You don't say which program you're using, but if you go to Insert>Time/Measures in older programs or Project>Insert Time/Measures in newer programs you should be able to move everything the required amount.

Nope, it's still doing it. Duplicates some lyrics from the beginning then jumbles others. All MIDI, no Audio. Man, this is frustrating because I figured this out 3 or 4 years ago but this old brain of mine won't co-operate!

If you are actually using the Lyric track feature, then you are already way beyond my abilities with that feature.  I tried using it once, and had lyrics flying all over the place, words scrambling, all kind of madness.  Not sure how such a simple concept became such a fustercluck in Sonar.  Maybe I will revisit that feature one day.  I write a lot of lyrics, and would love to have them inside each project.

Ya Dave, I use it a lot and, for the most part, it works well. Just this one nagging issue but as I said, there is a simple solution. I know it's simple because I'm not that smart! lol

Yeah, it was simple for me as well.  I pasted in my lyrics from a text file.  Created a midi guide track, and the lyrics went a flyin.............
