I'd say to make it higher.  Then you could simply hide the drummer under the stage with the bass player. 

Bass players don't need to hide - we already have the power of invisibility.
 
We are aided in this by the lighting guy, who believe we all have light sensitivity issues.

It's a well documented fact that shining a spotlight on a bass player may result in an SBS (Spontaneous Bass Solo). While relatively harmless in themselves, they have been known to precipitate an ERGS (Exaggerated Retaliatory Guitar Solo). The ERGS, as you know, may prompt the rest of the band to leave the stage in search of dinner until the frenzy dies out. 

A proper guitar solo doesn't require the rest of the band to be present you know.

(Ok, I lied, I'm always in the mood for Italian food, but maybe I'll have to do the PFM discography once I finish with IQ - still about four albums to go, should be done before tomorrow!)
