I remember post one. Why, back then, we had to post uphill. You had to swing your desktop towards Boston in order to fling the bits fast enough to get them up there. We used to complain about the forum software all the time and declare that "this" changes everything, whatever "this" was. We chuckled about the fact that Cake=Bakers. (Okay, that still cracks certain people up.) We didn't know how long this fred would run, nor did we know it would come to be known as the FSF, or even as a "fred" for that matter. We were young and innoce...well, we we're somewhat young an...so, we were younger and slightl...we were a bit less saggy then. We were free to enjoy our suspishuns without alternate spellings.
What do you mean, "Was that before or after the discovery of fire?" Of course we had fire! How else could we cook becan and power our DAWs? That's right, they were steam powered back then. The DAWs, I mean, not the becan. Mooch had a bicycle without a seat, we didn't yet know about Daryk's feelings for primates, and someone occasionally posted in the Songs forum. Those were good times.
We poured the full extent of the collected wit, wisdom and boundless intellect of the Coffee House into the FSF. It made a sort of sploosh sound when it hit the bottom. Before long, the FSF became self-aware and decided our fate in a micro-second. Actually, it decided that we really weren't a threat and left us alone. If that's not proof of its superior intellect, I don't know what is. Of course, making me a judge of what constitutes superior intellect is a bit like asking swamp mud to evaluate string theory. (My apologies to swamp mud for that unfair comparison. I thought your last paper was brilliant.) That's why we continue to come back here. It's a place we can be seen for who we really are, and then ignored accordingly.
