Halo, my fruend.

No gigs, but I did purchase a new Puter last thursday , I-7 8 gig ram XPS 8700,. I first tried an Acronis Universal Restore with HAL swapping and that didnt work, SO I spent since thursday RELOADING and REINSTALLING almost everything I had on the old DAW. ALso reauthorizing those pesky IK POS VSTs, searching for license files for other VSTs. I also replaced the existing  OS SATA drive with an SSD , swapped out the power supply, ordered an addition 8 gig RAM,upgraded the video card, and had to order a new FW card that is PCI-E.
Initial tests are very good, lower Latency settings, a Windows Experience of 7.9, and no white screens,

Soon to implode under it's own weight, the FSF has grown into a grotesquerie of enormous proportions, unable to even get to it's feet after stumbling on the stairway to obscurity.

I wonder if the FSF DNA is unstable and that explains the frequent mutations of the title and its apparent immortality. However, the title mutations have an intentionality and/or non-random quality about them...
Quite an enigma, if you ask me

So, you Rigged the band....

I did the same thing as you 2 years ago (except I built mine) and it's running like a champ......I also dreaded the installing EVERYTHING (including OS) from scratch. Are you on Win 10?

The only downside to Win 10 (that I've noticed so far) is that the Broadcom Ethernet adapter is flaky (acknowledged my Microsoft) and I get intermittent internet connection. I've tried to use a more updated driver (although Win 10 says the older one is the best available) and that's marginally better.....still having the same issue.
Will try to use the Win 8.1 driver in compatibility mode (per Microsoft) and see if that improves the connection.

Anyway, good to hear everything is working smoothly. I bet you're liking your snappy/quick machine now.....rooooight?
