That would be LA area ... not Portland.
 
I get sick just flying in to LAX, going to the Avenue of the Stars (Passport crap at the Portuguese Consulate) and then drive back to LAX ... a nice little pit stop at the beach would have been far better than sitting inside LAX waiting for your flight to get the heck out of the smog!

And it's starting earlier and earlier in the day.  It used to be as long as you were on the road by 3pm you were ok, but now it's more like 2:15...

And amidst the smog, the Police Dept arrested some 700+ folks at the Sports Arena just before Pink Floyd's show ... ohhh well ....
 
... those were the days? ...  raving and drooling! ... but there was no CHB!

Ughhhh.......city life!!
 
I hated driving in So. Cal and being on the 405 or 101. Living in the countryside (FL) is so much better as long as you avoid driving in the heart of Orlando. One thing for sure, no matter what part of the country you live in, most people just don't have general driving skills and common courtesy is unheard of.
