We do have an HOA, but they're very lenient in this older neighborhood and haven't sent an official letter. I'm sure it's just my neighbor who wants to keep the neighborhood nice and clean (which I also agree with)......he just needed to come directly and speak to me instead of putting a note in my box.  
 
I'll be mowing the lawn this Sunday or Monday (after my exam tomorrow), and will also send him as well as the other 2 neighbors an apology for this in the Christmas cards I plan to give them.

Certainly a wonderful thought, but I just couldn't break up their bond.

And I don't want her wandering out of the kitchen (she's making breakfast).
