Yeah, that ish doesn't make any sense. They supported the 100 instead of the flagship model longer.

Any one of you already on the Creators update?

Did you have the reinstall drivers? How about win8 drivers that required driver signing to be turned off to get it to install ... do they still work / require reinstall / don't work?

I'm on Windows 10 Creators Update (Version 1703). The driver install process is the same, and works fine (modified Win 8.1 driver, install unsigned). I did a clean install of this version of Windows, so I don't know if you'll need to if you're upgrading. I would assume yes, because, Windows.

Just migrated the first machine to the creators version 1703 after having an endless battle with stuck updates on 1607 before ...

I had to reinstall VS-700R drivers with the driver signing off trick (interestingly VS-700C worked without reinstallation), reauthorize AD2, reinstall WAVES about 3 times to get rid of VST scan errors and reinstall the driver for ESI M4U XT MIDI boxes which were behaving really funny after the update ... now seems up to date and properly recognized by win10 ... hopefully nothing serious will pop up now when get down to business ...

... and game mode is of course disabled ..

A few of us have been using VS-700 sets in the Creators update to great success. Glad to hear it's working for other users too.

Just to let you know.. Latest win 10 update:
Turned off signature
(ps as a wizard mentioned earlier in this post this is easy way to do it:
Onother way to turn the driver-signing OFF and ON:
Run "cmd" as Administrator:
##to turn driver-signing OFF:
BCDEDIT –Set LoadOptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
BCDEDIT –Set TESTSIGNING ON

##to turn driver-signing ON --- back to the normal state ---:
BCDEDIT –Set LoadOptions EENABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
BCDEDIT –Set TESTSIGNING OFF)

Installed the patched inf from earlier and everything seems to be 100% with both vs700 items.

Crud. It's not working for me. It stops at Driver set up and does not complete the installaion!

Hi John.
Thank you for your solution with VS-700.
Actually you can do it on a fresh installation of Win 10.
I have now also made it work with VS-700C stand alone, VS-100, UA-700, VS-20.
So guys out there, you can stil use your old Roland gear :-)

Can we just get some win 10 drivers and reopen support for the vs700? c'mon... Some of us little guys broke the bank for a system that was tossed out in a couple years!

Yes please! This kind of horrible support is offensive. It's not a lot of work to keep the drivers live. Laziness and greed are the only reasons they aren't supporting it anymore. Roland sucks, and that makes cakewalk suck by association.

Well...... i need any suggestions
