I've been thinking some more ... and would like to voice my opinion. Now that CbB has become a x64 only DAW, which I presume is the way of the future ... and ultimately the only alternative ... In my opinion it is critically important to make sure that a well functioning bridge to 32-bit plugs is in place.
I would like to see CbB turn its legacy history into a feature. To benefit from it's past achievements, not to throw it in the garbage as old fashioned and un-modern. A DAW that cherishes it's legacy and glorious innovative past.
I also think it is important to make the support for a vast range of legacy MIDI equipments more accessible, and a feature ... as I understand it Azlow ? has done a lot of work in this area for controllers, and it might be a good move to get him aboard on this part ... if he's not already. I also think some kind of cooperation with SoundQuest when it comes to MIDI equipment, and integration to the SoundQuest program, could be advantageous for both.
Further more I would like to see the support for DX plugins and DXi instruments make a obvious overt comeback. Reaper, another great fairly recent DAW has it out in the open, so why would CbB hide and be seem close to abandon it ? Doesn't make sense to me.
To attract and recruit new users, I think special focus should be made in future versions to cater to the Modular Crowd as well as Mobile users (Apple and Android). Myself would like to see easier integration with my myriads of iPad musical apps and CbB, I haven't gone modular yet ... but it's coming.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback ... all the best.
Regards, Sven
