Would be great if CbB had INSERT FX slots on the hardware buses to allow monitor FX without requiring "in between" buses just for that purpose.

gapless audio engine. And change screen sets using num pad. With instant visibility (like logic) now it feels cheapish with the slow screen build up.

Very late to this thread.

Can't say what hasn't already been said but here are additional details with my 23 years experience with the program:

+1 for improvements to note-snapping for Staff Roll.  Cakewalk Home Studio was really good at this.  Having note snap set to 1/16 "To" mode and note length to 16th does not produce results as expected.  Example:  " 1 e & A " when laid down as expected with expected timings: "1:01:000, 1:01:240, 1:01:480, 1:01:720" often produces note snapping errors like: "1:01:000 1:01:360 1:01:640, 1:01:720" at default ticks per quarter note.  This is especially irritating as a main reason I find Cakewalk very comfortable to use is the Staff Roll, where I initially learned music theory.
+1 for VST wrapper stability improvements.  More specifically to multiple instances of Rapture Pro, of which I've had crashing over.
+1 For panic-clip !  Save our eardrums !  Please.
+1 For fixing diatonic transposition math.  -8 does not in fact lower MIDI data by one octave.  I find myself having to make adjustments after transposing.

Try -12

Highlight a portion of the song (even blank measures) and "delete and ripple" all tracks and clips like in a video program.  Also insert measures, moving all tracks and clips forward.

But that would not be diatonic, would it?

Safe mode project load:

Instead of a mindless string of you wanna load the plug and that one?
Provide use with a big static scrollable on screen table listing the tracks and the plugs with check boxes for each plug. So we could see that one or two plugs we loaded recently that is causing all the trouble.
Naturally the would be a button to select all / none also.

We nearly always know what we did but still must go through the string of interview questions to get there. And you better not accidentally click Yes to load the offending plug when you have just clicked Yes 78 times or more.

This could be done over lunch.

Look at a piano keyboard.  There are 12 chromatic semitones in an octave, 7 white keys, and 5 black ones.

MIDI transposition math (and the note numbers assigned by MIDI) is based on the piano keyboard, so moving one octave lower is a -12 chromatic semitone move down.
