Hey,

I find this annoying.  When I'm selecting a short section of music to bounce to a new track, say the output of a soft synth, the track is bounced right to the bottom of the track view. It's a pain to then have to go to the bottom of the track view and then move that track to where I want it. All unnecessary steps and extra mouse clicks.

I'd prefer to be able to bounce that track adjacent to a track number I select (in the bounce to track dialog) and also at the point of bouncing have the ability to name the track.

This will help my workflow, especially when there's huge track counts in a project.

Cheers.

Searchable PDF documentation, preferably in the form of a manual that I can read via Kindle or other electronic reader.

The current online HTML with the Google Search results that include the "sponsored" links followed by helpful suggestions from the Music Creator 6 & 7 manuals is....very frustrating. I wouldn't say that it's completely useless, but I will say that I have gotten very little use from it.

Yeah... just had a thought of a possible way to approach one of my issues regarding (wishing for enable/disable track/promoted image while Lanes are displayed...

Would it be possible/easy to reverse the image colors for track/promoted and Lanes?

This would be another approach to my eye confusion regarding which are actually my clips for a given track though still not as desireable as the original enable/disable for the promoted images...

Yeah... Me again...

It's been a sore spot for me since it was implimented and though it has improved since inception, it is still a constant point of issue for me.

Lanes and visual aspects!

Yes, i posted about this again maybe one or two days ago asking again for a disable button for promoted/track images while Lanes are open/visible and it is related, but this is another issue.

Why must the track/promoted image be tall and lanes short when zoomed? If Lanes are open don't "you" think it woukd be more helpful to zoom the lanes being edited than the ghost image?

If I lasso multiple tracks that gave Lanes open, i get one with tall promoted image and short Lanes and others in lasso part of selection, but not zoomed.

Again I would expect that zooming such one wishes to edit lanes on multiple tracks simultaneously and need focus of the zoom on the Lanes.... Not the promoted image...

These issues are constantly counter-productive for me...

So, here's hoping some attention comes to these issues soon!

Thanks for lending an ear!

1) Option of NOT recording new take lanes (record mode Sound on Sound) to previously MUTED take lanes.
2) Easier way of selecting parts of one track and making a new track just of these "selected" parts either by copying or moving these to new track.

wishes, wishes...
first one is actually a big boo-boo for me as it stands now.

Thank you.

Upgrade TTS-1 Sampler or similar to be able to load user SF2 files (with GM/GS maping)

TTS has a wonderful interface, but sounds are badly outdated and built in to the program...
There is still solid demand for GM/GS compatible synths, but all stable GM VSTs that I know
of are very old and 32 bit. If I am not mistaken TTS is 15 years old...

If Band/Cakewalk team is interested, there is a gentleman who is working on 64Bit GM compatible VST that can accept large, multifile SF2 banks. I tried test version. It works, but needs some polishing to work smooth with Cakewalk. I think if Bandlab team is not interested of creating good, expandable GM synth with patch/program changes, maybe it is a good idea to collaborate with developer to have such VST available for Cakewalk users, to substitute outdated TTS..

Not specifically related to me, but I think Bandlab team does not realize that there is a whole army of people who make backing tracks or karaoke, people who like to record a single instrument or voice to a GM/GS midi composition Most of these folks are using old technology. I am sure, if proper synth is introduced, they would appriciate Cakewalk with all its power.

Thank you for reading.

The list of commands and menu options that drops down when customizing the buttons on the Custom Control Module needs some love.

I did remember Noel saying that this was only a first-cut solution and that it would be worked on... but so far it has remained a long, difficult-to-scroll, cryptic thing. I have found it difficult to find specific commands in the list.

So, um, if this feature is on the list for improvement, consider this an up-vote.

The is in regard to the LP EQ (wasn't sure where to post this).  When a band is put in High Pass or Low Pass mode, it would be more helpful for the "Width" to switch to a decibel per octave value or add dedicated High Pass and Low Pass bands that behave the way most HP and LP do.

A new and modern script language.

Although CAL scripts are useful, it's absurdly limited, old, difficult, not intuitive (LISP-like) and poorly documented.
With a modern script language, CbB could evolve a lot, apart from the bakers' development.

Something like Python, Javascript, VBScript, in addition to CAL, would improve a lot the parallel development, by letting the user himself cover the current development gaps by removing the overhead from the bakers.
