I generally prefer the YYYY-MM-DD type format since on file names that will guarantee they sort correctly. I think 2018-06-10 would be intuitively obvious since it's in order of Biggest Time Frame to smallest - which is the same as the usual standard for the world of 10/06/2018 - just reversed directlion (which does not sort nicely). I use dashes because some file systems don't like slashes in names.

Is there any chance that when dates are mentioned that the month be written as a word.  This is because in Australia 6/10/2018 could be interpreted as 6 Oct 2018 instead of the intended 10th June 2018.

Same for the UK and most of the world. I think it's only the US that reverse the month and day.

At least they are keeping it simple as far as the version number, just like with Platinum (year-month), e.g. 2018-05.

It's only when Noel or somebody else from North America edits the banner for the post to include an actual date that it could be confusing.

Maybe we could use something universal like "star dates" (from Starship Captain, James T. Kirk).

Maybe like the standard already set 30 years ago by the International Standards Organization (ISO-8601) ?

Cool suggestion!  I'm already down with UTC (Coordinated Universal Time), but reading up on the ISO-8601 at Wikipedia finally cleared up this related ambiguity for me.

How should midnight be represented?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601
Midnight is a special case and may be referred to as either "00:00" or "24:00". The notation "00:00" is used at the beginning of a calendar day and is the more frequently used. At the end of a day use "24:00". "2007-04-05T24:00" is the same instant as "2007-04-06T00:00"

I can sleep well tonight knowing that has been resolved.

Cakewalk and Sonar Platinum have a problem for scrolling speed.
If a MIDI track had a lot of control data, the speed of scrolling & shortcut keys & drawing & whole operatings become slower.
I test it many times in Cakewalk Bandilab and several Sonar versions, with Intel 8700K GPU and NVIDIA GTX1060 VGA.
I attach its video.

PS. There is no this problem in Sonar X3.
I just found that this issue happens in Win10 Redstone(Latest Version). There are no problems in previous Win10 versions. In Win10, the whole operatings become slwoer upto not work anymore. I cannot even use shortcut keys and draw control data.
It's very serious...

So if we have to reinstall Windows and want to re-install Cakewalk, we can never have the engineering suite installed again?

Just be sure install your previous version of Sonar with all the goodies first, then all the extra Sonar goodies will appear in Cakewalk when you install that afterwards.

For some reason, since installing Cakewalk by BandLab, some old projects will no longer open in CbB or Platinum. I try to open and it just spins and spins and never opens. Anyone else notice this?

I get this with very old projects. The best thing to do is create a blank project in CbB, and drag in your old project from the Media Browser.
