If its unregistered it wasn't previously owned. 

I owned at least one version of Pro Audio and Sonar 1 that I never registered. Maybe Sonar 7, too. I felt that registration was just the marketing department trying to get my information. I didn't see any benefit then. Now, of course, the benefit is you can only use the software if you register it.
