Final a small intrigue with a blind comparison of sound. We not only wanted to demonstrate the sound of U530, much to compare it with the original sound E530. NO EQ OR POST PROCESSING, only cab IR.
P.s. Switching between an E530 and an U530 is intentionally not in sync with rhythm and meter!. ;)

Hell of a slow download from the source, but deeply respect the freeware offering.

Got the Tomato dll, and being an ungrateful snob here.

Have never used a digital tube saturator that comes anywhere close to live. It does not exist for a couple more decades, even if this is an issue up the line when musicians have forgotten what a tube is.

Got some cool sounds otherwise as a surrogate. Reaper Reagate into Cakewalk Boost, into Tomato.

Cool plug with a little third party help.

Yes it is very slow, but they put them up on their Facebook page, much faster :) If I remember correctly there was 1 or 2 not on the Facebook page though.

And for me it is all about convenience, much easier than dragging out one of my half stacks, and certainly much less noisier, not all people can be cranking up an amp when they want to record something. I am quite happy with all the amp sims I own, I really like the sounds I can get, having presets, just the general convenience, do they sound as good as the real thing ? probably not, but then if you let that go, you may find they sound very good in their own right, even convincing. At 51, I'd much rather the convenience over dragging out an amp and all the messing around setting up etc, and I am happy with the sound trade off. My amps basically gather dust these days, and rarely come out.
