Hi, I want to know what is a professional person called??? that you can hire to come to your studio and analyse if the room is flat or if it needs corrections???
I need my control room to be treated so I can hear and MIX properly.
my room does have treatment but after I took measurments with ik ARC2 I noticed its not comepletly flat (big dip aroun 110hz
big boost around 50hz., and therefore when I mix , I cant get a nice midrange from my mixes..  mostly lowend, overpowering.  less mids less highs,..

So I was thinking to give it a shot call someone and hire them and see what happens
Thank you!

Surely the whole point of buying ARC2 was to correct those deficiencies though?

arc does not fix everything.

before i'd spend money on an acoustician, who will come in and throw money at everything,
i'd bother with building my own 48"x24"x4" deep bass traps, and use those.

plans everywhere on the interwebs.

my buddy built 9 of these things for his big mix room for his band,
and they work great for him.

Horses for courses, and certainly I took the path of figuring this stuff out for myself, but it isn't for everyone.

Generally speaking (no, I'm not a General) when people ask I always suggest that before spending money on DIY or even commercial solutions I'd hire a studio designer or acoustician.

My logic, for what it's worth, is that any designer or consultant worth their salt can provide a decent solution in a couple of hours. That's maybe $200 - $300 and it saves you a ton of time, as well as money spent on solutions that don't work. That won't be a detailed design, but these folks have worked in hundreds of rooms by the time they get to the point where they are consulting, and they can recognize the obvious problems, and solutions pretty quickly. They also have a wealth of "interesting" solutions from which they can draw.

As I said, I went the other route, specifically because I wanted to learn more. That time was an investment I was more than willing to make. It won't suit everyone.

I've come to realize this whole recording thing is a rabbit hole.  My room sounds bad.  I need to fix it.  I got  bass traps and tons of foam.  What?  You say foam sux?  Ok.  I lined my entire room with carpet.  Now I can hear my monitors.  They sound awful.  I need new ones.  Genelecs.  And then I  need a cheap pair too, because people actually listen to music on $10 earbuds.  Gee, now that I have new monitors I realize my converters are dreadful.  I'm gonna bag some really good ones.  Crane Song.  Now, suddenly I can tell my power conditioner sux.  Wait, it's really my preamp.  It is.  I got an Avalon.  The Avalon sucked.  I got a Neve.  Now that I have a good preamp I need a better mic.  This u87ai is awful.  I need a U47.  And a U67.  Now I need to resurrect George Martin to tell me how to really mix.  Or was that Geoff Emmerick?  Plus, you can't mix on digital.  You need analog.  Actually, digital is good, but I need 96K.  Darn, it still doesn't sound right.  I need a tape deck.  Tampex.  No wait, make that AMPEX.  No, what I really need . . . .

So, good luck with your room.  Seriously.

You have uncovered the secret code, congrats!

It is a bit of a rabbit warren unless you have the resources to do it "right" all at once, which is pretty rare, even for the big guys.

rabbit hole

LOL agreed, though I have yet to see a room that wasn't helped by bass traps in at least in 3 out of 4 (vertical) corners. Though yes, it's easy to go crazy too.

So true.  And I've crawled as far down that hole as anybody.  And I'm still digging.
