first, reboot after installation.
then, try to do a "reset and rescan all" in VST options.

ugh...I just reinstalled it from scratch.   Ran my trusty CCleaner before I rebooted.   Rebooted my computer, ran Sonar with a fresh VST scan.      The CA-2A files are all in their places.   But I watched the VST scanner hit the CA-2A dll file and just go right over it.   Still no CA-2A module in my available effects list or in ProChannel.  
 
I'm going to have to call Cakewalk next week.  :(

hey all, Joey with CW support helped me out.    A month ago I had put a new drive in my laptop and as such had to do whole new OS install/backup + all my programs.   Apparently I installed X3E as a 32-bit app, though I am on Win7/64.   Ergo,  when I kept asking it to find the CA2A which I installed as 32-bit - of course it didn't know where to look.
 
Reinstalled with the CA2A as a 32-bit install and re-scanned all V3T plugins; Sonar found it right away.  For all the years I've been working with computers and audio, I still feel kinda stupid from time to time.  :) thanks for all your patience and help.   -ryan

im working on ableton 32bit, i have tried to reinstall ca-2a for a while now, made different accounts and everything. i really cant find that 32bit vst anywhere ? whats up with that ? should it install all the plugins at the same time ? 
AU, vst64, vst32 ?? i can find my 64bit plugin .

The 32bit and 64bit plug-ins are included in the installer. The Command Center installs the plug-in based on the OS.
 
To install the 32bit plug-in when running the Command Center on a 64bit OS:
click the gear in the upper right on the Command Center UI to open the setup screen,
enable "Verbose Install" and
install CA-2A again.
 
This time there should be a 32/64bit option.
