In previous versions of Sonar I could copy and paste sliding over to make room also taking empty space on tracks that have not started yet, but with the new Sonar I only see tracks with material on the copied region shifting. What am I missing? Doesn't the copy copy empty tracks?
 
 

After quick browsing this seems to be a duplicate question, sorry for that. 
It seems that Cakewalk has removed this feature from the software while keeping the option in the menus. Well it worked for 20 years so why not mess it up now...

Lol.   The new, much more laborious procedure:   Select, Cut, correct the selection range, correct the Now time, Paste.
