Because we digitaze tapes and vinyl we need a lot of time to render audio.
For example vinyl - we need those plugin chain:
-  iZotope RX5 Denoizer
- Waves ZNoise
- Sonitus Gate
- Waves L3 Ultramaximizer

Rendering a full vinyl record needs 5:52 minutes.
With "LOAD-BALANCING ON" only 3:48 minutes.

Other plugin-chains for restoring tapes up to 100% faster.
Now we work projects so much faster.
For me that means, that I earn at least $200 more the week.

Thank you Cakewalk team.
That was the best improvement for me and my purse.

Yes load balancing also applies to all bounce/export operations so it can be a huge savings in time since it will maximize the use of the CPU cores.

Wish I could use Plugin Load Balancing, but I haven't had much luck.   Turned it on after the last update, and audio dropouts went crazy, couldn't make it through the first 8 bars of the project that I was working on.  Turned plugin balancing off again, and everything returned to normal.

I do plan on giving it another try, when I start my next project.  Maybe it needs to be enabled at the start of a project?

I think it's worth switching on just for this!

I strongly suspect Noel would love to get a copy of your project for study, Dave. I'd suggest opening a support ticket.

No, it makes no difference whether you enable it at the start of the project or not. Although it's not beyond imagination that it might make a difference whether you enable it after loading the project, as opposed to having it enabled as soon as SONAR starts up. Could be a specific plugin that needs to be on the first core. That's why I think Noel and crew would like to have a look at your project.

I, too had negative effect with stuttering/clicks - albeit intermittently with Load Balancing on. At first I wondered if it was just the  9-9.2 update. Turned L/B back off, load went back out of balance (60-70% on the 1st core) - no issues. And my pc isn't the oldest dog in the neighborhood. Who knows.
