Thanks! Is there a export setting that turns on broadcast wave data embedding? I don't remember seeing it, but maybe it's there.

Welcome to the club :). It caught me too. Logic has the option turned on by default, so just turn it off in export options.

If getting tripped up by a BWAV import makes you dumb, then I guess just about all of us have to admit to being equally dumb. 
 
Now, what would really be dumb is banging your head against the wall for hours rather than consulting your online brethren, lest you appear to be dumb. Oh yes, I plead guilty to that one, too.
