Recently, I saved a project and now it refuses to load again. The project (and its autosave backups) are in my Cakewalk Projects folder but does not appear in the launch screen or "recent projects" list. When I try to open the project using "Existing Projects", Sonar comes up blank and frozen. I need to use the Windows Task Manager to close the program. Launching Sonar by clicking on the project in its folder does the same thing. Other projects open as usual.
 
Also, when I have 2 versions of a project open simultaneously so I can jump from one to the other using the Windows tab, then exit Sonar; I cannot launch Sonar again without restarting the computer.
 
Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

some specs would probably help. (what OS, Soundcard, Which version of Sonar)
to get to the bottom of problems its nice to know some basics.
 
it could be a plug in that's causing the software to crash.
try opening in Safe mode: Hold SHIFT while opening sonar.
This will open sonar with all plug ins by passed, this way if it IS a plug in causing the problem, you can narrow it down to which one.

Cool, good to hear. At least now you know its a plug in.
By using Safe mode, you can introducing one plug in at a time allowing you to find out which plug in it is that is causing you the problem.
