  • Recording of Sennheiser G3 EK100 wireless mic maxing out in Sonar X2?

I have two Sennheiser G3 EK100 wireless mic sets that I'm trying to use to record. I have a Zoom H4 that records both sets fine. (Protip: if you're not using good batteries in the transmitter and receiver, it will not work with the Zoom and cause the unit to power off after a few seconds)

However, I really want to record both of them on my computer through Sonar X2 with XLR. I'm using the ASIO4ALL driver, though I've also tried WDM/KS. My interface is a M-Audio Fast Track Pro, and I've adjusted input, output, AF Out on the receiver and sensitivity on the transmitter, but no matter what I do, the Sonar channel is maxed out and doesn't record anything but static. What's weird is I can hear the mic clearly through my monitors, but Sonar just isn't giving me anything but maxed out inputs. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum.
The first thing I would do is delete ASIO4All from the computer and download and install the latest true ASIO drivers from M-Audio for you OS.

get the real m-audio driver and uninstall asio4all.
