I don't know if this has been covered, I'm reading through several threads and just hit the link to this thread.
Regarding hiding and unhiding. Kamikaze posted a way to unhide in another thread. It would be great if you could add a button that would do the operation of hide or unhide programs that are installed, uninstalled, downloaded, or not downloaded or something that makes sense and is easy. Anyway, Kamikaze posted this method or at least a Sticky with this info and where to find the XML files, if it cannot be addressed in CCC would help some people

Kudos to you Kamikaze:

There seems to be an XML file for each Program in Command Centre
AD2
Sonar
D-Pro
Rapture
Melodyne

Looking through the States of the various files there are the following options.
HiddenNotInstalled
HiddenInstalled
Installed
NotDownloaded

So in typing this I've actually  answered the question I was going to ask. You simply remove the word 'Hidden', not the whole entry for the State so 'HiddenNotInstalled' would become 'NotInstalled'.

Making it easier for those of us who work offline is a welcome addition.
I bought Sonar Platinum on day one but updating is a pita...so it has bugs, my RME asio drivers glitch (2x UCX) after 10 minutes or so.....dunno if it is at their end or yours....opening the dialogue in prefs, clicking accept without changing anything, gives me another 10 minutes of joy.
I can work all day on Sonar X3, so I do....

I suspect whatever is causing the issue has long been resolved, but the last time I tried to update, It installed Sonar Platinum on my sad little studio email computer.

We are seriously busy here.... I really am time poor....not just "internet rant" time poor. Faffing about isn't an option for me.... Sonar X3 works out of the box.

But I am a long time supporter of your company... the update was a no-brainer. I would love to be able to use it.

Whew! (long rave) yeah...easy download option for the offline folks? Good call. Thank you.

An "Update All" feature would be awesome.

the scanning tool used to determine which programs need updating should be a bit more common sensical (is that a word?). Any program updated or scanned within the past hour should not be scanned again unless a complete reinstallation has occurred. Would cut my updating time during major updating periods by at least half if not more.

Auto updating for Zeta+2 in the command center would be great! But, this is more of a personal request, but could apply for all 3rd party software...if that is indeed what it would be considered, perhaps there are legal issues with that.

You need to read all the posts as your points are all covered.

Ya that's not gonna happen and I don't mind being redundant.

Nice attitude... It will probably get you all the help you need in the future.

Ya, no attitude here, just reality. It cant hurt to be redundant as issues that are common among users are more likely to be addressed. And, its not very realistic to expect everyone who posts to read every single other post on the thread just to avoid redundancy. Please troll elsewhere.

Good to hear But there are many solutions in between all the posts, that can / could help solve problems.
As always, people here are willing to go at any length, to help people out.
Reading through posts will (at least in my case) solve problems (on my part usually pilot error)
Sorry if I came across a rude. Quite a few hit and runners here from time, to time...
Best of luck.

Two items:
You stated that you will be adding a download all feature - Thank you.

1. Would it be possible to change the colors for the status buttons on c3 to simply be,
  • Red - your software is not up to date
  • Amber - updates are downloaded but no installed
  • Green - your software is up to date
2. I know it sound complicated but it's not,
Can the "download all" feature download to a shared location on your main DAW that can be seen by a registered second device (mobile device). Some of us take advantage of having our DAW loaded on both our main workstation and our laptop (as per license agreement) in order to stay productive. Lately it's become such a burden to keep both devices at the same level of updates, that I no longer can use my laptop. I'm still updating my main DAW after 3 days because I don't have the time to wait for each download , then wait for each instal, then search for new updates, and then select the next update. I would like to be able to utilize the main DAW workstation as a central repository of updates for secondary devices. Software like Symantec Endpoint protection does this. It would cut down on the traffic at your download site, and speed up workflows for your customers (like me). The secondary device could use what ever method you like to identify the host location.
If request #2 is too complicated, then simply allow us the ability, within settings, to enter alternate download and search compare (you can use an XML file for this) locations. Also include the ability to "store" and then  "flush" the "download all" files. You can have the download all feature include an XML file, that lists all of the updates recently downloaded and have the secondary device parse that XML file to determine the updates available. I would be cool with this feature being available to advanced users but totally unsupported by Cakewalk. I just have a limited time to waste on updates.
Don't' get me wrong, for fixes, you could have me copying files one at a time into the directory. I will never complain about what you need me to do, in order to benefit from your effort to make SONAR function better. It's worth the pain. The problem is that we can't distinguish between features and fixes. As for the monthly features - if time is money, then the time we as customers spend adding these features renders them all over priced.

I love SONAR and I appreciate the work you do to enhance it.

"limited time to waste on updates".

In my world, that is time not wasted, but time spent maintaining.

If you have never installed new features due to the "time waste", you should still be on pre-X versions.
