I like BFD3 as well. But I don't own all of them like bapu.

BFD3 for me as well, I own all drum vsti's mentioned here, and while Superior Drummer3 has some nice bells and whistles, I still much prefer BFD3, the end product just sounds better to me, and I find myself rarely even firing up SD3. JAMSTIX 4 could be very useful, although I don't think much of the kits/sounds, have owned it for a number of years (v3 then v4) but have never got the urge to dig in and wrap my head around it, usually just fire it up every now and then, stare at it for a bit then close it down, not quite prepared for the learning curve myself, but I imagine it could be very good at what it does. I would steer clear of AIR Strike2, it doesn't sound very good to me, and yeah, I don't even bother with it, but ymmv.

Vote EZ Drummer 2 and Superior Drummer 3 here. I've also got AD2 and BFD Eco but EZD2 and SD3 are my go to most of the times.

Out the box it sounds lame, until you set Content Size to unlimited (which forces it to load the high quality versions of the samples) and switch oversampling on.

Air Strike 2 is interesting as a drum player, especially if you crank up the settings, with a lot of control over the dynamics, groove, and mix.  But it doesn't seem to be designed as a sampler to load your own samples into.

It's still good fun though to load up a kit and style, and have all the patterns (intro, verse, bridge, chorus, fills, etc.) in the style to be available across your keyboard as key switches.  Instant drummer!

But I think that the OP was looking for a drum sampler...

Having demo'd various (incl Air Strike which was uninstalled), I don't see any problem with using AD2.  Buy some expansion packs.  AD2's MIDI packs kind of suck, but Groove Monkee has captured some good ideas, but in the end wind up having to write the entire drum track hit by hit in any case.
