When I try to access most help in sonar platinum I get this message
 
chrome.exe - Application Error

the application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close application.
 
 
I am using windows 10

Sounds as though it's trying to access the online help system.
 
Make sure you are running SONAR As Administrator. Right click the .exe and choose this option.
 
Or you can use the Local Help system:
Goto Edit > Preferences > File > Advanced and untick Always Use Local Help.

Depending on the type of help you need, you'll find there are some very knowledgeable users on the forum who can help solve most problems.
 
It's a good idea also to edit your profile and include full details of your entire system in the signature, including full pc spec and details of your audio interface & driver
 
And welcome to the forum.
 

Are you having problems accessing the Internet through Chrome from your desktop or in other applications?  Is Chrome your default browser?  You might also get a problem like this if Chrome was uninstalled without changing the application default settings for your Win10 OS.

Hi. Do you have share drivers with other programs enabled in Preferences, Audio, Playback and Recording?

A quick internet search finds Chrome exiting with that error number is pretty common whether Sonar is involved or not.
 
Suggested solutions include downloading and running MalwareBytes to check there's no malware on the system, switching off the anti-virus to see if that makes a difference and uninstalling and re-installing Chrome or uninstalling Chrome and running a different browser.
 
Personally, I won't let Chrome anywhere near our computers.

Try running Microsoft Edge instead of Chrome

I got the same error message, just use internet explorer to re download chrome...save alot of time...
