Everything else seems to be working as expected, but hitting the "N" key to advance to the next song has no effect.
 
Any ideas?

The default action for the n key is to toggle Snap on/off. have you re-mapped it?

In order for the N key to work, the playlist must be enabled (push the Enable button on the playlist window) and it must be the active window (push the pin button on the top right of the playlist window to ensure it does not lose focus)

Okay.  I figured it out.  The "N" key (as well as the "Nest Song" button) only works while a song is actually running.  In other words, while a song is playing, clicking the button or the "N" key will interrupt playback and advance to the next song.  
 
In order to advance to another song during a paused status, you have to double-click the song you want in the play list.
