Feel better now?

Actually, yes. I put a huge amount of work into getting that sucker out every month. If people don't like it for a reason based on fact that's fine, but it's really annoying to have someone complain about something that's totally false.

The reason why the eZine fix list is in sync with the Cakewalk fix list is because of how the process works.

I'm given a list of bug fixes, which I edit for consistency (and often categorize) because the fixes are written by different people at different times. Cakewalk then uses the edited list and for the online help, on very rare occasions adds any post-eZine fixes, like the Arturia one. This is why the list given above is essentially identical to the one in the eZine.

it would be useful if the fix-list in the monthly e-zine was as detailed as this :-)

That's ridiculous. I can only conclude you didn't actually read the eZine before posting that,

correct! didn't mean to rattle your cage, sorry!

And sorry at this end for my reaction. The eZine is my "baby," and it's a sensitive subject with me because of how many people don't even know that it exists...so I don't like seeing comments that would discourage people from at least checking it out. If they don't like it after checking it out, that's okay; I just don't want people to dismiss it out of hand. I really try to pack as much useful information in there as possible.

  • UAD plugs are no longer balanced when "Load Balancing" is turned ON

I use UA Apollo and UAD plugins. I'm guessing this means I can turn Load Balancing ON and everyone will play well together in the sandbox - right?

FX Racks with UAD plugins should be excluded from load balancing now. Let us know if you still see problems with load balancing on compared to off.

Hi, so far so good. I selected Load Balancing and opened a heavy project full of UAD, Slate and SoundToys; the CPU meter was low and nicely spread across all cores. The audio didn't snap-crackle-pop either, so I'm guessing it's working just fine. Thanks!

I fully understand Craig. I also think you do one heck of a job doing it. Personally I look forward to it each month. Its a very cool way to watch the progress of Sonar.  I happen to have all of them.

I read the Ezine every month.
its typically the first thing I read before venturing in to the new release.

A month or so ago when you posted that thread "does anyone read the Ezine" I was a little freaked out
thinking they might be doing away with it.
so its much appreciated here Craig. The Ezine also shares some good articles and tips that cant be found by simply reading the bug fix list. I cant say I like every article, but for the most part, it is great reading.

its like a mini Sonar newspaper.

Couldn't agree more. I read the ezine before trying the upgrades. It's very informative and well put together. As always, I really appreciate the work you put into it Craig.
