For example, I hope I'll be able to change the value in transpose slider (MIDI track, inspector) with my numeric pad or + - button. It was possible in Sonar pre "skylight" versions. Now we stuck with mouse to change the value. And the tiny tiny slider interface made it difficult to slide precisely.
 
I hope there is an option to have many input interfaces (like buttons, slider or rotary knobs) to the track (in the track view) rather than in track inspector. Specially with MIDI tracks.

I'd like the multidock borders to disappear entirely if there's no tabs on them.
 
When I first install Sonar, the right-hand border does not exist at all, so it clearly can be done.
 
Once I have viewed anything, it collapses down to a fairly thick border instead of nothing as originally.
 
This is a problem with small laptops. You lose 10-15% of screen real-estate.

I've always done it this way and it still works for me in CbB - just click on the control, then use the numeric + / - buttons.

Sorry, by "transpose" I mean to alter the PITCH value, not KEY value.
 
To be clear, the problem is consistency of using the numeric + / - for controlling many aspect. Some parameter can be controlled using + / - only, while for some you have to press CTRL + / -,  some you have to press enter before using + / - .

I like the current forum. I know there is a new Cakewalk forum on the way, but I would like to continue with the current forum style.

A keyboard shortcut to close all track folders while in the track view.  There's a shortcut for open/close the current folder (ALT + SHIFT + H), but not for all folders.  At least not that I know of.  If there is one, someone please let me know what it is, thanks.

ARA 2 support will come in due time. It hasn't even shipped to users from Celemony so its premature. I've been in the loop with them and have had discussions about the feature set.

This brings another question which I may have missed. That ARA2 functionality in SO4 then seems it was supplied by Ceremony directly into SO4, I.e., no Melodyne 5 is required to get it. Is this implying that no other DAW can use ARA2 until Melodyne 5 releases and must therefore buy the Melodyne upgrade?

PreSonus and Ceremony must truly be in bed with each other.

ARA2 and Ableton Link are great features, but very big. Especially Ableton link. We still have Ableton Live, Reason ad Bitwig which supports this technology. I would like to see it in Cakewalk, but it seems it is not a real direction. Maybe someday Bandlab will resurrect mobile direction with apps for iPad. Z3ta was an interesting deal. Some wireless iPad controller for iPad would be great.
 
I want another small update for step sequencer:
-add scale feature. When we load Sequencer we see many rows and we need time to make a scaled pattern.
-add pattern manager (small menu with created patterns). I know we can use matrix, but for fast results -
