Does anyone know where the config file or registry entry that stores the driver mode (preferences>playback and recording>driver mode) in Sonar is located?
I use various versions of aud.ini, ttseq.ini etc to quickly switch between different hardware configurations but have never needed to change the driver mode from asio. Now I do, and I seem to have to manually change it irrespective of the config file that is loaded.

Value is (from memory) 666 (decimal) for ASIO, 2000 (decimal) for WDM, 60 (decimal) for WASAPI.  Not sure what for MME :-)

I am curious if that would shift cleanly with SONAR open and the audio engine off, or do you intend to shift that with SONAR closed?

The state of all of the above could be stored by SONAR and prompted on startup each time (add a user preference to enable the prompt), but that FR got abandoned long ago.

I change config before opening Sonar Mettelus depending on which hardware is connected.

Needs to be done before SONAR starts.
