Should I be able to adjust the Audio Driver Bit Depth in Preferences|Driver Settings? On existing projects and on new blank projects, this setting on my DAW is grayed out and set to 24. Is this supposed to be user adjustable? Is there someplace else to change this setting?
I looked in the Windows 10 Sound control panel, and discovered that I can't select 24 bit for my "default format." There are only 16 bit options in the drop-down menu there. Yet SONAR is locked at 24 bit. When I export audio, it looks like SONAR is happy to offer me 16-, 24-, 32-, even 64-bit export options (I tried a 32-bit export and it worked).
I had some trouble after the Win 10 Anniversary upgrade, and I reinstalled the drivers for my Scarlett 6i6. I haven't tested everything yet, but the system seems to be working now, except for this setting. Can anybody suggest a place to start troubleshooting?
Thanks!
