  • Is this a bug? (Recycle plugin windows)

When I insert a some vst, say 'vst1' on fx rack, then 'vst1' property page is opened.

then I click the another vst in fx rack say 'vst2' (already loaded before I insert vst1).

At this time, I don't want 'vst1' to be closed.

So I turned off 'Recycle plugin windows' option in VST settings.

But this does not work at the first time.

vst1 always would be closed, and then I click the vst1 again, then 'Recycle plugin windows' works.

It seems that this happens whenever I insert a new vst.

Is this a bug? or intended?

If it is intended, Why?

Thanks!

Best,
SOHN.

According to the above, it sounds like you are saying that you open VST2 after VST1 is already open, then turn off "recycle plug-in window." I'm going to assume what you mean to say is you turn off recycle plug-in window after VST1 is open, but before opening VST2.

If so, then VST1 opened under the "rule" of recycle plug-in window being on. Turning off recycle plug-in window after the GUI is already open is too late, because the VST checks the status of "recycle plug-in window" when it opens, and acts accordingly. You need to turn off recycle plug-in window before opening a VST to have it obey the rule of recycle plug-in window being off.
