E.G. I choose a beat file for my project , let's say a pop rock midi pattern. For chorus I choose a rock and rool groove midi pattern. Many times I find that the instrument volume of e.g. the snare of the new pattern is different from the volume of the  snare of the previous pattern. Louder volume or lower volume. Anybody did find that?

If it's all on the same Midi track driving the same snare then it's more or less certain that you need to look at the relative velocities.

What Bristol_Jonesey said + some MIDI files come with CCs, that may cause volume differences.

I've always thought it's inevitable, cause the beats are originally played by a real drummer.
Different rhythm or tempo, different intensity.. Maybe I'm just naïve :o)

In AD2 in the BEATS section, you have 3 options, Beats Gallery, Shortlist and Transform.

'Transform' allows you to change the velocity and adjust the dynamics of the rhythms.

FYI: The same thing can and does happen in EZDrummer, Superior Drummer, BFD and Steven Slate Drums.

It's the nature of the things. Would you play Moondance and Come On Feel The Noize at the same velocities?

I haven't had a chance to experiment with the transform feature. If, for example, you crank up the velocity and drag a pattern into your drum track, does the higher velocity version go into your project while leaving the original pattern unchanged in the AD2 library?

Umm, yes, yes I would! Is that why I keep getting fired from bands?
