Exercise a little more patience and save up about 90 more dollars and get a pair of JBL LSR305's.

I think a 5" might be too big for the OP's intended purpose of a mobile mixing rig. There are quite a few good 4" and 5" speakers in the $300/pair range.

You might also want to check out your local pawn shops for a good used pair. I know ....I'm cheap!! but that's were I found mine.

M-Audio has some speakers in your price range.

While not up to the JBL's accuracy, they are very reasonable... I haven't heard the ik yet...

I've setup a few friends with the m-audio and I've managed some decent mixes using them...

I recommend JBL LSR305 studio monitors.  I found my mixes sound consistent on every system I've tried them on.  I see there are several on sale at:  https://reverb.com/p/jbl-lsr305-active-monitors?_aid=pla&hfid=1263950&gclid=CjwKEAjwydK_BRDK34GenvLB61YSJACZ8da3s27HgEOaBnPF3QUEH2N00ymbkTEZdElTdEO4X_6inBoCIvXw_wcB

They seem to be in your price range, I found them to be very accurate.
