So I'm fairly new at this, so new I haven't even reached the point yet of exporting a mixed song in its entirety.

Right now,  I'm simply trying to export a single vocal track that's routed to an FX bus that has reverb on it, and I want the wet vocal track to export as a .wav I can send to a friend that he can use in a song he's doing. I think I've followed the instructions to a tee, but all I get is a dry vocal track exported as a .wav

I select the track
I select the full length of the track dragging across the timeline to "define" it
I go to file/export/audio/
In the Source Category, I select "Tracks" and I then highlight the vocal track I want
In the Channel Format, I've set it to Mono because its'a mono track
In the Mix Enable Section, everything is selected that can be selected, except for "Audible Bounce" and "Live Bounce. So, Bux FX is checked.
I export and only get the dry track.

I've tried soloing the just the track; soloing the track and the FX bus; muting everything but the track; muting everything but the track and the FX Bus. Nothing changes. All I get is a dry exported track.

My work-around was to "bounce to track" to create a track of the vocal with the FX on it. I then exported that using the same above steps and was able to get a "wet" version that way. I have other individual tracks to export with the same routing to an FX bus. Do I have to bounce internally every time to get a processed version of the track to export?

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!
Bill

Solo the vocal track, and export with Source = Buses, and only Master bus selected. "Include Bus FX" can only work if the bus is part of the selected source.

Hey thanks. I'll give it a try. Appreciate the response...

It's fairly likely that your reverb plugin is outputting s stereo signal so do not change the channel format to  mono

Correct if you are routing the track to an fx bus with the reverb then you do NOT want source category = tracks since it will ignore the reverb. Just solo the track you want and export your Master bus with source category = buses.
