on new recordings,

I have one on my desk but I never turn it on. It gets too hot. It's the real deal to not one of those plastic ones. I didn't realize it would improve my mixing. We'll see.

Well it does improve my mixes. While watching the lamp and listening to my music, I noticed a few clicks in my tracks I didn't hear before. I traced it down the Focusrite 18i8 interface, adjusted the buffer setting, and now on new recordings, the clicks are gone.

I find the USB 3 Lava lamps to have lower latency. I have 2 , also a Disco Mirror Ball for mixing dance tunes.

Anyone have a link for a digital lava lamp? My lava hardened after so long...

No dusty lava lamp, but Fabfilter's Volcano sits on my hard drive unused.  Surely that counts...

Of course I have one! Silly question. Did you (op) really think anyone replying would openly admit they don't have one.......Lol

Just saw the thread started out in 2012.......some things just never change. Sadly the bulb of mine broke and since it is impossible to get the old filament bulbs I had to replace with a halogen one and it doesn't get as hot as the original bulb so the lava stays a little too 'thick' and doesn't create as many nice blobs & spheres as it used to. I guess I'll have to get one of those digital ones as well :)
