LOL!

Seems that if you want this feature you will need to pony up $149 to join the party. In Platinum, it's part of the core program. That makes vocal sync much more attractive to me.  Your milage may very.

LOL!

Im already into Sonar lifetime update program!
I'll try to repeat...im talking about Vocalign/Revoice ARA support not Vocalsync, not melodyne, not your favourite food!
Please if you don't wanna another harsh or sarcastic comment, please, don't post here!
Thanx.

I'd say if YOU want to post harsh or sarcastic comments, do it elsewhere.

I could be wrong but I thought that if a DAW supports ARA then any plugin that uses it is automatically supported with no additional development needed, no?

What good is ARA if the host developer still has to do a bunch customization to integrate every new plugin that uses it?

Yep,i think the same but i suppose that every DAW need also some particular tweaks in the ARA implementation (take a look to melodyne, in the past  the Sonar implementation got problems not appearing in Studio One).

Looking at the history of the development of ARA it was begun by Celemony then joined by Presonus. As other companies were invited aboard, Cakewalk came on board and along with Celemony took it to much deeper level of communication. This deeper integration in Sonar, opened up more possibilities with Meleodyne even more so than Presonus and others. This opened the door for Cakewalk to develop other ARA aware plugins like VocalSync and Drum Replacer.
If Vocalign is ARA compatible then Sonar should be able to extract the same benefits that Presonas gained.
ARA is a standard like VST3. Just like VST various hosts implement it to a greater or lesser degree.

I just spent an hour or so watching videos on the Revoice Pro website. It seems like a very cool, powerful program. I don't, however, see anything it can do that can't be done with Melodyne Studio and SONAR.
So Studio One is now going to have a feature SONAR has had for some time. Good for them. Using a derogatory term for Vocalsync reminds me of a MOPAR guy that thinks everything that Ford or Chevy make is junk.
Vocalign and Vocalsync do the same thing. Personally I think it's better to perform the parts correctly in the first place.

You must try Vocalign or Revoice Pro and compare with Vocalsync to make a sentence...
Revoice got also a lot of other functions, and yes i know that "it's better to perform the parts correctly" did you know that the water is wet? :-)

What would be the point? I have already invested in tools that do the job. Why buy another set of tools that do the same thing?

If you like Revoice use it; but I have learned (from experience) that pissing off the regulars on this forum will not get you anywhere.
