I'm having to move all my music software to another computer.  Sonar X3 is installed and I'm trying to install Z3ta+ 2.1.  The install gets to the end and I get the error:  The application was unable to start correctly (0x00000c7b)  InsHelpLaunch2.exe.  And, of course, Z3ta throws an error on opening (...was not installed properly).  This fails this way every time.  Looking for ideas on what the heck is going wrong and what to try to fix it.  Tried turning off M$ Security Essentials and 'run as administrator' with no joy.
Ideas?

Thanks...Steve

If this is not the installer used with the original installation, it may be a bad installer. I do not believe Cakewalk publishes a hash value for the Z3TA+ 2 download so it is impossible to verify the integrity of the file. If there is a chance the installer is bad, try downloading it again with a different browser or a download manager.

scook,

Thanks for the reply.  I'll try that but I don't hold out hope on that since this file, at one time, did install properly on another machine.

Thanks...Steve

Ok, re-downloaded the Z3ta 2.1 install.  Same problem.

Still searching, still looking for ideas....

Thanks...Steve

Okay, found the problem.  My C++ redistributables were not up to date.  It looks like 2012 is not new enough.  There is a 2013 version.  Either that or installing the 2013 version fixed some registry errors.  the 0xc000007b error virtually always is a C++ redistributable problem.
