Hi:)

Since September Update SPAN in the master bus is totally clipping, it shows Peak level 770,6 dB, without any input level, I can even mute all + the master bus, doesn't matter:(

Rollback doesn't help, so what's going on??

New Install of SPAN doesn't help either...

Thanks,
Bassman.

Hi. I just used SPAN on my Master bus in the latest SONAR for a few hours, without any issues. Sorry to be of no help, but it does work on my end.
Is Windows up to date? I had some issues before the latest Win update.
Hopefully it is only a settings issue of some sort.
Have you tried to make a new Master bus, and copy SPAN there, to see if the bus could have become corrupted?
All the best.

Delete the existing master buss, re-create it and re-point everything else to the new one.
If that doesn't work, please report back.

If SPAN is throwing a number that high, it must be a floating point error somewhere in it's signal path.
These are also known as NaNs.  (not a number)
Things like that might be caused by an incompatibility with the interleave or bit depth, or even the signal level.
I've used SPAN for years so surprised that would come about now.
What else is in your project leading up to the master bus?  Could be some other plugin that's causing a NaN.
If you remove SPAN, does the master bus level still indicate a high value?  I recall SPAN having an ability to connect with other SPAN instances so maybe the internal routing for that got goofed.  You can try changing the routing back to default as well as changing presets.

HI:)

I got it, but first:

@Bristol_Jonesey
tried that, but no effort. Even if I have done a comletely empty new file and just added a Master Bus and SPAN, it's clipping.

@Keith Albright
there's no level at all, all tracks and busses muted and SPAN clips

This happens only to my PC in my appartement, in Studio everything is OK.
I have 2 Audio Cards in that PC, RME HDSP 96 and VS100 to record sometimes in my living room.
If I only change the activation from VS-100 to HDSP, the clipping is gone, even if I change it back to VS-100.

Now, that's funny! If I install the new September Prerelease, the clipping is there again. Can be removed by changing the soundcard again!

I've tested it 2 times! Install new Release--> clipping --> changing soundcard just 1 time, everything's fine

Install Rollback to 08.30 , clipping is there but can be repaired by changing soundcard.

It is as if the installation produces a kind of feedback with VS-100....

OK Problem solved at the moment, I'll look for it after the next installation:)

Thanks:)
Bassman.
