Back to the drawing board.
V-Vocal has been known to do some strange things. Do you know the workarounds? Work in small 1-2 bar clips. After you tune it then choose "bounce to clip" this prevents V-Vocal from doing the strange things.
Also try a
clean boot in Windows to see if it makes any difference.
