Great track you really captured that prog rock feel (I'm a huge Genesis and Hackett fan). All you're missing is a few mythical creatures oh and the track needs to be about 20 minutes longer. 😂 All joking aside though, teriffic work, I loved it. Andy

Well done Steve. My initial reaction was also that it has a very Kansas flavor to the song. Was the guitar solo rap or midi? Pretty convincing if midi. Unfortunately I can only listen on ear buds right now, but it's coming across really well on them.

Steve, you never fail to surprise me.  Being from Kansas City, I certainly hear the Kansas influence in this song, yet it has its own flavor, as well.  As usual, your skills shine in every facet!  This song gets shorter every time I listen to it, meaning that I really enjoy it.  Keep up the good work.

Boy, this took me way back to when my wife and I lived in Toronto and listened to all the "hippie music" (as my dad called it) on CHUM radio.  You really captured the sound and spirit of prog-rock of that era. The melody is great as is your production and performance on this number.  Very nicely done!!!

This I like! Wonderful it must be to finally get this old idea together. This is very well done. It is easy to go crazy with the beat and harmonies just because you are thinking prog, but you get it together very nice. I was waiting for some speedy Collins 7/8 drumgroove in the end... Love the tubular bells!

Thanks, Lasse!   Yes... yes it was.    It can certainly be a bit more difficult to restrain prog than not, so thanks for that.  Except for the bells, of course.

This is excellent - I am reminded of Big Big Train in places, probably a case of not being infulenced by them by you having the same influnces as them

Thanks, Andy!   Genesis was definitely a strong influence on this one.  Although, while I kept looking and looking, I just couldn't find that little Squonk.

Thanks, Michael!   As a Kansas fan since the late-70's they're just ingrained in my head...   The guitar solo is "real" - a Strat direct in, and I think I used either GR5 or TH3 on this one.

Thanks, Lynn!   Yeah, I love me some Kansas - in my late teens/early twenties I wanted to be Kerry.   I appreciate the shrinking aspect too.

Obviously not - it had long since dissolved into a pool of bubbles and tears.  ;-)

Great job Steve! Really enjoyed that listen. Everything was done so well. I could crank this one up loud and it was very well balanced in my room. Longed for more bottom but that is common where I sit.
