What an AWESOME and CREATIVE solution!  Yes, I do have my s/n and registration number - simply "lost" my install discs.

I see that you can't download old products from the "My Products" page.
If you get in touch with the support team, they may be able to temporarily host the software and give you a download URL.

Almost all of my old products seem to be available for download. This even includes ones that I originally purchased as disks that were subsequently made available as downloads. The only ones excluded are ones that have never ever been sold as downloads.

That might be it.  My HomeStudio2 license is still there, but i believe that was a shipped box...

If you lost the disks , you lost the disk,,LSHS was never a download.  this seems like the version you had must have been a torrent if you downloaded it.
Sonar LE is free with some gear. Cakewalk has some very affordable new versions. Try the demos.
F your dead set on old software then any of the versions before X came out are all more or less the same to use. 8.5 was the best of the lot. But you will be breaking the licence agreement and won't be able to register.

Edirol, I will be perfectly honest with you. I've been there man.
I used Cakewalk Pro Audio 9.0 till the wheels fell off. in the meantime I missed a few good versions of sonar.
instead I upgraded to home studio 6 then HS 7 (With 7XL). it was a waste of my time to be honest.
so I went right for the jugular and purchased Sonar 8, then every one of the X series I have owned since.

There's a few things to consider,

1- the system requirements for HS 6 might not even work on anything except Windows XP or lower.
2- some of the VST's and FX will not work correctly (they might, they might not)
3- its a time machine / its a trap.

I totally understand and respect your decision to want to use home studio 6.
your familiar with it, maybe have songs recorded with it. don't want the learning curve.
but trust me, its like walking backwards. One of my best sayings from the Chuckebaby words of wisdom novel VI: "Don't let technology leave you behind.. so Instead...be one step ahead of it."
you can purchase my novel from: LearnFromMyMistakes. com <-- that's a joke by the way .

I am not sure I even know where my disks are for Home studio 6.
I would like to help you but take my advise (and Johnny V's advise) download a free Sonar LE version, watch some videos and welcome back the future .

If you need any help or have questions with the Sonar LE version, hit me up.
I will help you in a second as im sure many others will too.
Good luck
Chuck

To be fair it was designed to run on Windows Vista and will probably will work ok on Windows 7.

Compatibility mode works wonders sometimes. I'm running Photoshop Elements v2 on windows 10. So far, so good.

Just set compatibility to the last known OS it ran under and then run install as administrator.

The Home Studio Edition of Sonar 6 was released a few months after the main Producer & Studio Editions. Vista had become available in the interim. I remember this well because Sonar HS6XL was the first music software that I purchased. I stuck with Windows XP though.

OS Requirements: Microsoft Windows Vista Microsoft Windows XP Microsoft Windows XP x64
