FWIW, SHS 6 XL seems to work with Win 10. I haven't been able to thoroughly check it since I don't have an interface for this computer.
It plays any project I try, but I can't record.

Home Studio 6 (32bit) plays fine in Artist other than some missing plug-in paths and the fix is to copy the patches from HS6 and paste into Artist EXCEPT I don't have access to HS6 any more. Curiously, my old 32bit have fewer errors using Artist 64Bit rather than Artist 32Bit. CW asserts they "don't have a copy of this old software" anymore. I don't "buy" their argument. From eBay, I can buy car parts for a 1976 Triumph or Microsoft Office Suite 2003. I assert I purchased HS6 as a download - believe it was actually marketed to UK and Australia - not so much in USA. Anyway, my wish is to "borrow" someones' install discs - CW shouldn't object - I can take a screen shot of serial/registration such that a prospective "lender" is assured there's no intent to "steal" anything. Please any takers? and ChuckEBaby I accept your words of encouragement to go forward YET - for me - NO - I have weak computer skills - through trial-and-error it took me 7 months to "get" HS6 to make a sound. Please any takers? to lend me SONAR Home Studio 6 install discs? There are strategies to ensure you'll get your discs back.

I am prepared to lend you the disk, but only if CW officially confirms that it is ok to do this.

There is no need to "lend" a disk, if you copy the entire contents of an installation disk to a Zip file, it could be transferred via dropbox, as opposed to a CDRW or a thumb drive which would require snail mail, either way the receiver would not be able to install without their Serial#/Reg code, correct?
